Pants On Fire
The election of 2004 was the first time that I enthusiastically participated in the democratic process. The election of 2008 was the first time when I actively researched and willfully aligned myself with a party. But the coming election of 2012 is the first one in which my naiveté has dissipated and I have begun to see the duplicity of the presidential role. The oval office, a pulpit from which countless speeches of awe-inspiring eloquence have been delivered to the American people, is also the very same spot in which back-room deals with agendas opposing those of the electorate are brokered.
